Throughout the ages many myths and spiritual traditions have related our human origins to clay or mud, to the great truth that we are created from the earth, and will one day fold back into it...

Join yoga teacher and ceramic artist Lara Zilibowitz for an experiential day into embodiment - through meditation, movement and creativity via direct relationship with the skin of the earth.

The morning will start by exploring the meaning of the ‘mandala’ - an ancient symbol representing the connection between microcosm and macrocosm, where the human body is the link to the whole universe and practices centred around the body are a gateway towards experiencing that flow of nature inside.

Through a slow spiralling vinyasa yoga flow for all levels, we will then begin mapping the topography of our own inner ecology, to awaken to the great truth that we are not separate from the earth, that we are as much a part of the planet as every cell in our bodies is a part of us.

After a nourishing vegetarian brunch we will then embark upon a clay mandala carving creativity adventure, learning how to work with clay to artistically express ourselves, to connect to our own flesh and breath, as well as to the world around us.

You will be guided on how to design, carve and then paint your unique mandala expression on a stoneware ceramic vessel, which will be fired and glazed for you to take home as an everlasting memory or your relation to infinity.
